we are very sorry to inform you that today Franklin D Roosevelt died due to cerebral hemorrhage in Warm Springs , Georgia. His last words were "I have a terrific headache!".

Roosevelt was a great president and we will remember him mostly by his greatest accomplishments:

-The Great Depression

I was inaugurated to my fourth term of presidency today along with vice president Harry S. Truman!

December 8, 1941
Today the US declared war against Japan as a result of the Pearl Harbor Attack. This was does not look like it is going to end anytime soon.

December 7, 1941
Today Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. This attack killed 2402 people and injured 1282 people. The US will take this VERY seriously.

January 20, 1941
I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. I begin my third term as president today. World War 2 is still going on in the world. I hope it will end during this term.

1939-

Today was a grave day. World War 2 began with the invasion of Germany in Poland. Poland has been taken over. Italy and Germany have formed an alliance.Britain and France have gone against Germany, Poland, and Italy. The US will join them in this fight. Many other countries have been affected by Germany also. This world will effect the entire world.

1937-
Today I was inaugurated to my second term of presidency. I want to continue to try to make this a better country for all!

1935-

Today the Social Security act was created and put into action. This act created a system that requires the working generation to contribute and support older, retired workers. I felt the need to pass this act in response to the Great Depression. (:

I am using this post to tell you a little bit about myself as I realize I have not done so yet. I was born in Hyde Park in 1882. I loved to ride, fish, and ice-boat. I really enjoyed the outdoors as a child. My first education was at home where i was taught by a governess and later on by a private tutor. At age 14 I was sent to a boarding school in Massachusetts. After that I went to college at Harvard where I met my wonderful wife Anna Eleanor Roosevelt whom I have had 5 beautiful children with. Nowadays, i enjoy the swimming very much. My favorite meal is fried cornmeal mush. yum ! Well, I have to get back to the White House, America is waiting!

June 5, 1933
Today the gold repeal joint resolution was canceled.This takes the United States if America off gold standard !!

March 4, 1933-
Today the government established the "Good Neighbor Policy". I am hoping that this policy will help the United States become better friends with the Latin American Nations.

1932 - Today was a great day! I was elected the 32 president of the United States. I am very pleased to announce that I am the first president to appoint a woman to my cabinet. I believe that this is a turning point in our history for women around the world today. I cannot wait to start my first term as a president!
