Today the Social Security act was created and put into action. This act created a system that requires the working generation to contribute and support older, retired workers. I felt the need to pass this act in response to the Great Depression. (:

I am using this post to tell you a little bit about myself as I realize I have not done so yet. I was born in Hyde Park in 1882. I loved to ride, fish, and ice-boat. I really enjoyed the outdoors as a child. My first education was at home where i was taught by a governess and later on by a private tutor. At age 14 I was sent to a boarding school in Massachusetts. After that I went to college at Harvard where I met my wonderful wife Anna Eleanor Roosevelt whom I have had 5 beautiful children with. Nowadays, i enjoy the swimming very much. My favorite meal is fried cornmeal mush. yum ! Well, I have to get back to the White House, America is waiting!
